Join us at Historic Gates Hall for an exciting new Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society (W-PHS) program exploring the courageous journeys to freedom.
Featured presentations:
- Marjory Allen Perez—noted historian, speaker, and author—will provide a regional perspective on the Underground Railroad, focusing on Williamson and Pultneyville.
- Deborah Arndt will showcase the local safe havens that served as the last stop on the path to freedom, sharing powerful stories of those who sought refuge
Andrew Doniger, W-PHS AdHoc UGRR Study Committee, will lead a Q&A exchange following the presentation offering the audience an opportunity to comment and ask questions.
Learn about the secret networks, the brave individuals, and the local landmarks that played a vital role in the Underground Railroad.
