Dutch Dinner

February 5, 2020 @ 6:30 pm

Breaking News from the Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society  The program following the Dutch Dinner February 5, 6:30 PM at the Pultneyville Reformed Church has just expanded.  In addition to the Dutch trivia attendees are asked to bring and share, Carol Bailey, Wayne County Grange historian and former Lyons historian, will present a program on the Holland-American Festival held in the 1980’s at Forman Park. Held annually the event celebrated the common heritage of stewardship of the soil shared by the Grange organization and the early Dutch settlers of this area.  All are invited to the dinner and to hear about this little known event.

For a number of years now the Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society has honored the area’s Dutch settlers with a Dutch Dinner. It will be no different this year as we join together Feb. 5 at 6:30 PM in the dining hall of Pultneyville Reformed Church. Bring a dish to pass (Dutch or non), table service AND NEW THIS YEAR a bit of Dutch trivia or information. After dinner we will share these and hopefully broaden our knowledge and enjoy a laugh or two. The public, as always, is invited to join the society as it kicks off the 2020 season!
