Come experience local musician Thomas DeFisher live at Gates Hall!

Thomas DeFisher is a rising sophomore at Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. He first began playing the piano at the age of five, studying with Ray Braselton at Braselton’s Music in Marion, New York and has also studied with Paula Bobb at The Hochstein School in Rochester, New York, and Dr. Daniel Paul Horn at Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in Wheaton, Illinois. Thomas has played piano at numerous school and church events and has performed at events held by several local organizations in his community.

At Wheaton, Thomas is a music education major with voice as his primary instrument, studying with Dr. Sarah Holman. In the past year he placed third in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Chicago Chapter Competition in the Spring. In addition to his studies, Thomas sings tenor in the Wheaton College Concert Choir and is looking forward to going on tour with the ensemble this upcoming year, performing Handel’s oratorio, Messiah.
