W-PHS Member Picnic – August 5

Save the Date! W-PHS Member Picnic, Wednesday, August 5th
Mark your calendars for August 5th and plan to attend the annual Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society (W-PHS) Picnic at 6pm.
This year’s summer event will be hosted by Peter and Deb Parts at their picturesque lakeside home at 3207 Lake Road, Williamson, NY.*
All are welcome, and as always, attendees are asked to bring a well-filled picnic basket and table service. Water and coffee will be provided. Should anyone desire to bring their favorite beverage, please feel free to do so.
In keeping with America 250 and the commemoration of historical events that helped to shape America, the evening’s program will be about the Founding of Union Church . . . the community’s first sacred place of worship, which today is known as Gates Hall. The presentation will immediately follow dinner and will be presented by Peridot Howland, Town of Williamson Historian and W-PHS Board Member.
Along with the historic commemoration of America 250, Union Church is celebrating its 200 Birthday in 2026, continuing to hold its sense of place in our shared history. With W-PHS as the current sole steward of this 200 year old property and the support of volunteers throughout the years, the Hall which resides on both the National and State Registers of Historic Places continues to be lovingly cared for and utilized for local, regional and national meetings and lectures, piano recitals, concerts and musicals, fundraisers, W-PHS programs and plays, celebrations of life, celebratory family activities . . . and more.
Bring your appetites on August 5th! Plan to relax and enjoy the lake breeze along the southern shore of Lake Ontario and its mesmerizing views while socializing and learning about our local history.
*Please note that in the event of adverse weather conditions, the picnic and program will be held in historic Gates Hall, formerly Union Church, at 4107 Lake Road in Pultneyville.
